NTA SHRESHTA (NETS) 2024: Inviting Online Applications for National Entrance Test for Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA (NETS))-2024 Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has entrusted the responsibility of conducting National Entrance Test for Scheme for Residential Education for Students in Higher Classes in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA (NETS))-2024.
NTA SHRESHTA (NETS) 2024 Registration
The government is asking students to apply online for a special test called SHRESHTA (NETS)-2024. The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has given the job of organizing this test to a group called the National Testing Agency. This test is for students from a particular group, called Scheduled Castes, who want to study in good boarding schools.
These schools follow a certain educational system, and the government will pay for about 3,000 students to attend classes 9 and 11 there. To get into these schools, students have to take the SHRESTHA (NETS) test, which will happen offline. Only students whose families earn less than 2.5 lakh rupees per year can apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Students from scheduled castes currently enrolled in either 8th or 10th class during the academic year 2023-24 are eligible.
- Their parents’ annual income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
- Candidates opting for 9th grade should have a birthdate between April 1, 2008, and March 31, 2012, making them between 16 and 12 years old as of March 31, 2024.
- Candidates opting for 11th grade should have a birthdate between April 1, 2006, and March 31, 2010, making them between 18 and 14 years old as of March 31, 2024.
Admit Card
The e-Admit Card will be issued provisionally to candidates via the NTA website: https://exams.nta.ac.in/SHRESHTA/ or http://shreshta.ntaonline.in/, pending fulfillment of eligibility conditions. Candidates must download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the examination at the designated center on the specified date and time mentioned in their e-Admit Card.
