CSIR UGC NET December 2023: In 2023, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold a test called CSIR UGC NET for Indian folks, to see if they can get a scholarship for research or become a professor in colleges. The test will be on a computer.
The Testing Agency has started the NTA CSIR UGC NET Registration. If you want to apply, go to the official website at https://csirnet.nta.ac.in/. You need to submit your application online by November 11, 2023. The exam will take place on December 26, 27, and December 28.
CSIR UGC NET December 2023: Exam Pattern
The CSIR UGC NET exam has three parts, all with multiple-choice questions. There are no breaks between the parts. In the Chemical Sciences test, you should answer a maximum of 15, 35, and 25 questions from Part-A, Part-B, and Part-C, respectively. If you answer more than the required number of questions, only the first 15, 35, and 25 questions in each part will be considered. Each question in these parts has four options, and you need to choose the correct answer. You have to find the best answer for each question.

Application Fee:
You can pay the application fee using net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. General category applicants need to pay Rs 1100, while General-EWS/OBC(NCL) category candidates should pay Rs 550.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2023, you need at least a 55% (without rounding off) in your M.Sc. or an equivalent degree. This requirement applies to General (UR) and General-EWS candidates. For OBC (NCL), SC, ST, Third gender, and Persons with Disability (PwD) candidates, the minimum percentage is 50% (without rounding off). If you’re currently enrolled in an M.Sc. program or have completed a 10+2+3 years qualifying exam, you can also apply under the “Result Awaited (RA)” category. However, you must achieve the required percentage within two years from the declaration of the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Test result, or you’ll be disqualified. You’ll need to submit an attestation form certified by your Head of the Department/Institute.
