Patents and Designs Exam 2023 Conduct of Mains Examination (Paper I and II) for the Post of Examiner; Exam Date & Time Released at exams.nta.ac.in

The National Testing Agency (NTA) successfully conducted the Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) for the esteemed position of Examiner of Patents and Designs against 553 vacancies under the DR quota in the Patent Office. This initial phase took place on 21 December 2023 (Thursday) across 260 centers in 103 cities throughout the country, witnessing a participation of around 89,657 candidates.

Preliminary Exam Results

The eagerly awaited results for the Preliminary exam are set to be declared shortly on the official website https://exams.nta.ac.in/DPIIT/.

Eligibility for Mains Examination

Candidates who qualify for the Preliminary Exam (Phase 1) will advance to the next stage – the Mains Examination, consisting of Paper I and Paper II.

Mains Paper-I

  • General Aptitude (20 Marks)
  • Elementary mathematics (20 Marks)
  • English language proficiency (20 Marks)
  • Knowledge related to intellectual property rights (IPRs) (20 Marks)
  • Technical/scientific discipline of the vacancy applied for.

Interview Process

Following the Mains Examination, candidates will proceed to the interview stage. The mode of this phase will be announced later on the official website.
